Dear UPHS Families,

Welcome to the spring semester 2026! The faculty and staff are excited to see students back on campus on Monday, January 12, 2026. Traditionally, students experience significant growth as they build upon their successes from the fall semester.

Spring Semester UPHS Class Schedules

• Students’ UPHS Class Schedule in PowerSchool will remain the same (for most students) as their Fall Semester Class Schedule.

• A student who needs to request a UPHS class change due to a conflict with their COS Schedule may do so by using the following link: UPHS Class Change Form.

COS Classes and Procedures

• Log in to your Banner Web to review your “COS Class Schedule.”

• If you are now in a COS class that you were on the “Waitlist” for in December, upload a PDF (no screenshots) of your new schedule into your Grade Level Google Classroom.

• In general, all students should make sure they have uploaded the most recent PDF (no screenshots) of their COS Class Schedule for Spring 2026 to their Grade Level Google Classroom (UPHS class changes will NOT be made if you do not have a COS schedule uploaded)

• Friday, January 9, 2026, check your COS email to see if your professors or COS have sent you any updates about your classes.

• Sunday, January 11, 2026: check Canvas to see if your professor has posted anything you need to know before class starts. (This is a good time to see what texts you may need for your COS class(es)).

Incoming Student Enrollment Information

We are nearing the end of our recruitment period, and we know some of the best students come to UPHS through recommendations from our families. If you have a family member, friend, or neighbor who would be a good fit for UPHS, please invite them to attend one of our UPHS Information Nights to learn about the school and everything we offer students.

Final UPHS Information Night Dates:

• Thursday, January 22 - 6 pm-7 pm in Yokut 8

• Thursday, February 5 - 6 pm-7 pm in Yokut 8

Attendance Reminders

• As a reminder, UPHS knows that for students to be academically successful, they need to make every effort to attend both their UPHS and COS classes. While illnesses and family emergencies happen, please remember all students signed a Mutual Accountability Statement committing to 95% attendance for each semester. 

• The UPHS faculty and staff know there is a correlation between time spent in class and a student’s achievement.

• For the fall 2025 semester, UPHS students (as a cohort) maintained an attendance rate of 96.2%. We are very proud of our students for this achievement! Let’s keep up the good work this semester!

Schedule of Spring Events

UPHS has a full “Spring Schedule of Events” to look forward to, from Mock Trial to Science Olympiad to the Antigone play to Robotics to PSO events to Field Trips and more. Please review the weekly email to stay up to date on all activities and events each month.
