As part of its efforts to enhance and sustain its performance quality, UP Manila has been undergoing quality management processes for the past years. This includes capacity-building, assessment and accreditation of its units and offices, internal audits, strategic planning, and management review just to name a few.

Among the significant developments in the quality management of the institution is being ISO 9001:2015 certified. This certification is valid for three (3) years, from 27 November 2025 to 16 November 2028, subject to satisfactory results of annual surveillance audits.

To ensure the compliance to such standards and to facilitate the continuity of its refined processes and systems, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs has improved on its documentation of ISO-related documents and other office files. The Office has also initiated the creation of several materials such as the OVCAA portal, OVCAA Handbook of Operations, and the APFC Compendium for reference of the future office head and staff. | Last updated 22 APR 2026
