Nagaraju Gundemeda holds a Ph.D. from the University of Hyderabad (2004) India. He joined the department as Assistant Professor in the year 2005. His areas of teaching and research interest covers Sociology of India, Sociology of Education, Sociology of Youth, Sociology of Marginal Groups and Information Technology and Society. He has carried out research on teacher agency, schooling of girls, educational achievements of children, and contested youth Identities- A case of India and South Africa.
