Eagle Nation Families,

Welcome back! We are refreshed from the break and ready for a busy and productive spring semester. As we return to routine, we want to acknowledge that the winter months can be challenging for many, and supporting our students is truly a team effort between home and school.

As temperatures drop, please ensure students come to school dressed appropriately for the weather, including warm coats. At the end of the day, students are expected to wait outside for parent pickup or buses, and the wind can make conditions especially cold. Having proper winter clothing is essential (and some of us may remember last winter’s unexpected fire drill on a very chilly day).

The spring semester is filled with many upcoming events—some especially exciting, such as our Winter Activity Night and the 8th-grade career fair trip, and others that are equally important, including ACCESS testing for our multilingual learners and assessment testing for all students.

We would love to increase family involvement this semester. Our PTO meets this Tuesday evening and is currently planning Teacher Appreciation Week in May. Additionally, our upcoming Activity Night will need both volunteers and donations. If these opportunities do not fit your schedule but you are still interested in supporting our school, please feel free to reach out to me directly—I would be happy to connect.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. Here’s to a successful and positive spring semester!

 Respectfully,

 Kimberly Martin-Boyd
