Meet our Designers

David is a Design teacher at UNIS Hanoi. He studied Design, Materials and Engineering education at the University of Limerick, and International Education at the University of Sunderland. 

David taught Design since 2010 in schools in Ireland, the UK, China, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam. 

In Secondary school, David studied many design-related subjects such as Engineering technology, Physics, and Design communication Graphics.

David is an designer from America and Vietnam, he has been in unis for more than 10 years. He has a passion of motorsport and design and wants to become a motorsport engineer, He wants to go to Purdue University. Aside from school, David likes to ride on his bike play videogames and  enjoys watching motorsport.

Arthur is a design student at UNIS hanoi from Germany and Indonesia, who has a interest in interior design. He wants to study in aachen. Outside of school he likes to play video games and do sport.

Timmy Bonang is a designer from Indonesia, currently enrolled as a UNIS student and taking Design Technology at the High Level. He lives in Hanoi, Vietnam, and has been for over 12 years; before that, he lived in Jakarta, Indonesia. Timmy is interested in multiple aspects in design, such as urban and interior designs. He also likes to play tennis and badminton.

Ethan is a designer and a student from Taiwan studying at the United Nations International School of Hanoi. He is currently studying Higher Level Design Technology in Grade 11 with a desire to study Business Management and Finance. He also enjoys studying interior design and architectural design, and beyond the education of school, he enjoys generating new ideas and creating new hobbies such as clubs and approaching art through design, music, and culinary.

Jisoo is a designer from South Korea with a passion for Economics and Financial Accounting. She was borned in South Korea and raised in Tianjin, China, and this year marks her 5th year in UNIS. For the past 4 years she has been taking MYP design. Jisoo enjoys designing in multiple disciplines like industrial design, CAD, and architecture. Outside of school, she likes to play badminton and volleyball.

Lia is a designer from South Korea with a passion for fashion design. This is her first month joining UNIS and has lived in Guangzhou, China before. She enjoys collaging and sketching her ideas of unique clothing designs and putting into a piece by sewing fabrics together.

Vilma is a Design student from UNIS Hanoi. Vilma is from Stockholm, Sweden, and has lived in Hanoi, Vietnam, for 15 years and attended UNIS for 14 years. Vilma is passionate about marketing and online design.

Brian is a designer from the Netherlands and Thailand with a passion for swimming as a sport and motorcycle circuit racing as a hobby he studied design and engineering for the past two years. He really likes to build things.

Dana is a designer from Vietnam who is passionate about finance and business management. She studied at UNIS for the past 6 years and has created various products that involve woodworking, laser printing, 3D modeling, etc. Outside of school, she enjoys sports (badminton and volleyball) and music.

Hai Yen is a designer from Vietnam who is passionate about interior design. She has studied at UNIS for the past 10 years. She enjoys designing products that make everyday life easier while still looking aesthetic. She has designed and made various products using 3D printer. Other than design, she spends time doodling, and making art.

Zander is a designer from the United States who is passionate about digital and interior design. This is her second year at UNIS. She likes innovative ideas and crafting unique products that elevate everyday functions while adding personality. When not designing she enjoys playing sports like football and basketball.

Ash is a designer from Korea with a passion for creative and communication design. This is her third year at UNIS. She is passionate about making aesthetic posters and learning new ways to manipulate designs for better productivity and comfort. Other than design, she enjoys arts in general, playing volleyball, tennis, and martial arts.

Chris is a designer from Malaysia with a passion for product & industrial design. He has studied at UNIS for 12 years and has created various products that involved woodworking, laser/3d printers, and molding processes for ‘ easy to hold’ products. Outside of school, he spends his time playing volleyball, badminton, and forms of performing arts.

Manasa is a designer from India who is passionate about creating products using CAD, and business management. She has studied in UNIS for the past 8 years. She has created various products using laser cutters and enjoys learning about how unique products function. Outside of school she spends time playing basketball and crocheting.

Alinghi is a designer from China with a passion for business management. He studied design at UNIS for the past 5 years. He is skilled in creative thinking and addressing daily issues that humans face. He enjoys playing sports, working out, and thinking about daily innovative products that hit the market.

Xavier is a designer from France and America with a passion for architecture and design. He has been studying design for the past 2 years. Xavier is skilled in the area of visual arts and CAD and loves to design and create products that solve everyday problems. Other than that he is also interested in using art in a way to create fun and more interesting designs. In his personal life he likes to cook, pursue his personal fitness by playing sports, boxing and going to the gym. Xavier also likes to use his free time to draw and paint.
