We anticipate that Yellow bus service will begin on Monday, September 20, 2021 for eligible J1 - J4 students. (Date subject to change.)
JA students whose siblings ride the bus may also begin to use bus service to and from school beginning on Monday, September 20.
All other JA students may begin to ride the bus on Monday, September 27 (Date subject to change.)
If your child will ride the bus, please ensure that by 1:00 pm on that day you have recorded that dismissal instruction in School Dismissal Manager (SDM).
Your child will not be permitted to ride the bus on any given day unless your instructions to do so appear in the SDM (School Dismissal Manager) transportation report by dismissal time on that school day (see dismissal protocols).
Access to the UNIS Parent Portal becomes available to new families after you receive an email from our Technology Department confirming that the Portal is open to you and giving you your family login information and a temporary password (you can reach them for support by email at veracross@unis.org).
Before your child may begin to attend classes, you must upload your child's medical information in Magnus and update your family's contact information in the Veracross Parent Portal at myunis.vc (including home address, mobile and work phone numbers, email addresses, and caregiver contact information).
Our age appropriate Junior School Arrival and Dismissal Protocols are designed, first, to support out students’ safety and maximize their learning times while supporting their independence. Junior School families use School Dismissal Manager (SDM) to relay daily dismissal plans. In Arrival and Dismissal you will find detailed instructions for setting up your family SDM account, as well as the UNIS protocols and expectations.
Please sign up for yellow bus service in Transportation if eligible, and our After School and Care Programs, and Athletics Program as needed. Meal Plan information can be found under MORE above.
Physical Education uniforms and other UNIS-branded clothing and supplies are available on the Land’s End website www.landsend.com in “School” (UNIS Preferred School Number 900077660). Land’s End customer service can be phoned at 1-800-469-2222. More information about UNIS PE can be found in the Getting Ready for your child's grade and PE FAQ
Please review the JS FAQ section and Handbook to learn about the everyday procedures and protocols at UNIS. You will also find information about Security and UNIS ID cards, and a Contact list.
