A Six-Week Program of Summer Fun
Summer Break is a time for fun and exploration!
We encourage our students to explore their interests, ask questions, and quench their thirst for new experiences.
Make a splash this summer with fun activities for your student and the whole family!
We have curated activities for grades kindergarten through second grade, third through fifth grade, and sixth through eighth grade. Each week centers around a theme with activities built around writing, math, connecting with others, and reflection. Our hope is that these activities spark your student to investigate their own interests and curiosity! Here's to a great summer!
All of our Union School District students have access to the San Jose Public Libraries, online and in-person! Explore the library with your USD Student and take advantage of all the benefits a San Jose Library card offers. Take a sneak peek at the upcoming themes of our six-week summer learning program and check out a few books on each topic. While you are there, check out upcoming events and programs, pick up a National Parks Pass or Discover & Go Pass, or check out a Wee Play & Learn Activity Box or Bilingual Books and More! Kit.
The YMCA also provides Child Care and Summer Day Camps with diverse options for children of all ages. The Boys and Girls Club offers summer sports camps, enrichment programs, and activities for different interests and age groups. Explore these opportunities to discover new passions and skills. There may be costs associated with these programs.
YMCA of Silicon Valley is offering free memberships to teens entering high school to 2025 graduates from June 1 to July 31, 2025 at 9 Silicon Valley locations (offer excludes Centennial Recreation Center in the City of Morgan Hill). The “Get Summer” teen initiative was designed to keep teens active, engaged, and safe while school’s out for summer. Registration opens May 1, 2025.

Their membership also gives them access to swimming pools, basketball courts, fitness classes, and more!
Programs and activities vary by location.
