Spend some time thinking about what you would like to do this summer. Focus on your goals and achieve them!
Write down three goals that you would like to achieve this summer.
For each of your three goals, write down three mini goals that will help you accomplish your bigger goal.
Create a plan for accomplishing each of your mini goals.
Discuss your student's goals and how your family could support them.
Are there family goals that you would like to set for the summer?
How could each family member contribute to reaching those goals?
Go to your local library, check out books and explore the many resources and services your local library has to offer!

Support your student's reading goals by visiting the library each week and allowing them time to explore and select books that spark their interest. While you're there, spend some time cultivating your own interests! Your child will follow your lead.
How many days of summer do you have before school starts?
What do you want to do with those days? Each minute of every day is valuable!
What is something fun that you'd like to do? - Who do you want to visit? What is something new you'd like to try? What new skill would you like to learn?
Plan your summer together with a calendar! Here is a blank calendar template to get your family started, better yet, create one with your student!
What would like to know more about? Learn about it! Explore! Take the initiative to learn more about what interests you!
Is there someone in your community that you could talk to about what you'd like to learn about? Ask questions and find answers.
Are you happy with the goals that you've set for yourself?

Identify additional people in your family and in your community that will support you in achieving your goals.
