Think about the quote by William Arthur Ward that appears at the top of this page. Recognizing what you have to be thankful for and expressing your gratitude to others is important. Here are a few ways that to help recognize what you have in your life and also how to share that gratitude with others.
Start a Gratitude Journal. In your first journal entry, write about what Gratitude means to you. In the days that follow, write about one thing that your are thankful for each day.
Write a letter to someone in your life that you are thankful for and mail it to them.
Start a Jar of Gratitude. Each day, fill your jar with notes about what your are thankful for. On days when you need a reminder about all that you have in your life to be grateful for, read through your notes of gratitude!
You could also start a Gratitude Journal of Jar of Gratitude for someone else in your life. Fill up a journal or jar with all the reasons why you are thankful for them. When you are done, gift your special person their journal or jar of gratitude! Be sure to include a handwritten note that expressing your gratitude for all those reasons that you've shared and more!

Donate your time. One way to express your gratitude is to help others and give back to your community by volunteering or donating your talents. Look into local, national, and global organizations that you would like to support!
