Monitoring and Signaling Buoys

This section presents the data collected by the project's buoys. How the buoys are built (hardware, firmware, radio links and mechanics) is described on the Monitoring and Signaling Buoys page under Devices & Tools.

The first two prototypes, TS1 and TS2, are currently being tested in the laboratory. Each records water temperature, a raw salinity signal and two voltmeter channels, and sends its readings automatically to the project's data server; each buoy has its own page with a live chart. Once validated, TS1 will be installed at the Instituto de Pesca in Ubatuba and TS2 at CEBIMar-USP in São Sebastião.

Results from the T1 instrument buoy and from the oceanographic buoy under refit will be added here once they are in operation.
