This section presents experiments developed to investigate how different coating formulations influence the settlement, colonization, and development of marine biofouling communities on submerged surfaces. The studies involve the exposure of experimental substrates to seawater environments under controlled field conditions, allowing the comparison of biological colonization patterns on surfaces with different chemical and physical properties. The results generated in these experiments contribute to the understanding of marine biofouling dynamics and surface-organism interactions in coastal environments.
