Devices & Tools gathers what the project builds in order to do its own work: the instruments that go into the sea, the electronics that keep them running, and the software that turns what they bring back into usable data. Each entry below has its own page — the measurements these devices collect in operation are presented under Experiments.
Monitoring and Signaling Buoys
Autonomous platforms for maritime signaling and environmental monitoring, built for remote sites where servicing is expensive and infrequent: the Wi-Fi TS buoys, the current long-range LoRa network with its shore base stations, the T1 instrument buoy, and a large oceanographic buoy under refit.
Low-power boost converters developed to raise and stabilise the electrical output of bioelectrochemical systems, so that it can be put to use in autonomous devices.
Browser-based preparation of settlement-plate photographs for annotation in CoralNet and other platforms: campaign metadata, per-plate triage, fixed-scale cropping and a crop manifest that makes every crop reproducible. Published software, with its own DOI and a user manual.
