Teaching with Writing Workshop:

Pre-Semester Clinic for Writing
Assignments and Activities

Wednesday, January 10, 2024

12:15 pm–1:30 pm

101 Walter Library (East Bank)

Lunch will be provided for registered attendees.

Just in time! In this session, instructors have an opportunity to get some feedback on writing assignments and activities they’ve planned for the Spring semester. Participants who assign any form of text (verbal, numeric, figurative, etc.) in any course (WI or not) are welcome. We’ll start off by taking a look at the four critical components researchers have identified for formal and informal writing activities. From there, we’ll engage in a formative and lively review of participants’ assignments and activities, whether in polished form or still at the draft-thinking stage. Bring assignments and ideas!

Facilitator: Pamela Flash (Director, Writing Across the Curriculum)

Audience: Faculty, instructors, and graduate students
Format: On-campus workshop, remote attendance will not be offered
