It says "Blessed" underneath the mat. It’s kind of like the foundation of my eating. Like, what I want to consume in myself daily is bread and wine- Jesus Christ. This image shares my faith and that Jesus is King. Faith is one of the most important things to me.
These are two pictures of a little boy and girl praying. My doctor told me that spirituality is a key component of mental health and overall health. And I always pray over my meals. It helps me be thankful and grateful for my food.
During the day, I like to take quick walks outside. This flower caught my attention one day. It was really pretty—two echinacea flowers up high and one down low. It reminds me of the phrase “two steps forward, one step back.” It reminds me that when I’m working on my goals, creating a new habit or making a lifestyle change, my experience can literally be two steps forward, one step back. Setbacks are okay—you just keep working towards your goal.

These are steps over a river. It reminds me: “one step at a time.” What I like about these steps are 1) all the chalk marks on it, all the art; and 2) there's a crevice in between each step that you could actually fall down into the river. Our health journey isn’t always a smooth path. There are dangers/challenges/obstacles that can come along, but if you keep going forward with one step at a time you will make progress.
