What does it mean to be "healthy"?
Health is a personal journey for each of us, influenced by our distinct backgrounds and experiences
Below are themes that emerged from a photovoice project involving participants of community mental health support programs. This project aimed to identify the factors that either challenge or support people’s efforts to maintain their health.
The Nourish & Flourish Photovoice and Conversation Guides Project incorporates the voices of individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Participants for this project are community support program (CSP) staff and members. Several principles guide our work together including: Equity, Holistic Health, Community-Centered, Relationship-Driven, Participatory Processes, and Engagement. This project connects mental flourishing with other aspects of health and healthy lifestyles to co-create with the participants and CSP staff healthy lifestyle resources.
