This is all from my garden. Growing vegetables can be really fun, and it’s a good challenge for using vegetables in new ways. My husband didn’t garden before but now he does! Now anyone that comes over leaves with tomatoes and that’s really fun.
This tomato represents how we all start off a tiny seed, and how with nourishment, we can blossom. I like using tomatoes to make salads - they’re so fresh! I enjoy sharing the food grown in my garden with my community as a way to give back.
It makes me feel good to eat what you have grown. I grew all these vegetables and even found a purple tomato this morning! I was able to make tacos with the romaine and lettuce I grew.
This was at our community garden and I picked this during a group activity, which is always fun. I was just so amazed that the small carrot decided to twist and grow in that way and that the big carrot grew unencumbered.
This is my avocado tree! It's amazing to see it start as a seed and watch its progress. I'm so jazzed to see how much it has grown!
