Academic Financial Support - International Students | Academic Financial Support (AFS) is financial assistance for degree-seeking F-1 and J-1 students enrolled at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (UMTC) who experience financial challenges due to unforeseen circumstances after they enter the U.S.
Fellowships and Assistantships | Fellowships, Graduate Assistantships, and Traineeships are available to new and currently enrolled graduate students at the University of Minnesota.

Council of Graduate Students (COGS)| COGSis the Recognized Student Governance Association (RSGA) at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities campus that represents, advocates for, informs, facilitates communications among, and supports Twin Cities graduate students.
Information Technology| The University IT department provides 24/7 technical support on University Internet ID and passwords (x500s), the Eduroam WiFi network, and class technology and communication tools. Their office also offers support for hardware and software for free or at discounted prices.
International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)| ISSS is dedicated to serving the University’s international community. ISSS counselors provide counseling to international students and scholars about visas and employment; academic, personal, and family matters; and issues of cross-cultural adjustment and professional integration.
MyU | MyU is the official University portal which provides access to resources and information tied specifically to your record. You can register for classes, view information on course dates and available seats, and confirm their enrollment. You can also view holds on your student account, view university announcements, and monitor your student finances and financial aid.
One Stop Student Services | One Stop’s website includes how to enrollment and finance guides, official university calendars, and details on critical course add/drop and refund deadlines. Students should contact One Stop for questions on billing and financial aid, veterans’ benefits, and registration (MyU) assistance.
UCard Office | Students can pick up their UCards, or order a replacement card at the UCard office.
University Bookstore | Purchase course materials, clothing, and University merchandise in store and online.
Student Legal Services (SLS) | SLS offers legal advice and representation to Student Service Fee paying University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Students.
Metro Transit | The Universal Transit Pass is valid for unlimited rides on any bus or train in the Twin Cities for students with UCards who pay the Transportation and Safety Fee.
Student UCard Discounts | Many university and public services in and around campus offer discounts to students, staff, and faculty with a U Card. Ask the business or department you are shopping at if they offer a student/educator discount!
