The Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life provides education, advocacy, outreach, and support to students, staff, faculty, alum and community members. We strive to create a campus climate where more inclusive understandings of gender and sexuality foster a sense of belonging for all.
The Graduate School Diversity Office supports and enhances graduate education by serving in an advisory capacity, leading initiatives, and collaborating across the University of Minnesota system.
It is important to acknowledge the diverse religious and cultural observances that occur throughout the year. This diversity of religious and cultural beliefs, like other forms of diversity, enriches our University community and the work and learning that occurs here. There are often questions on how to celebrate diversity while also being respectful of our individual differences.

Maji ya Chai: A Nature Sanctuary for BIPOC Healing
In Fall 2020, Maji Ya Cahi Lan Sanctuary began its journey to create a space that will "provide a welcoming andaccessible space in the North Shoreregion for Black, Native, and peoPeople of Color of every generation to gather, rest, and connect with each other," says Rebeka Ndosi, founder andexecutive director of theproject. This space will also be used to address and heal from social and historical inequities in a safe environment.

The Women’s Center is an advocate for Women’s Equity. Not only does the Women’s Center provide support for women to thrive throughout the University of Minnesota, they also provide resources that women can access throughout campus for a variety of means. The Women’s Center also provides an online seminar on salary negotiation for women.
