JULY

Make sure FAFSA is submitted

Financial aid awarding for the fall/spring period begins in mid-July, and continues weekly thereafter. You will be notified via an email communication sent to your University email account when it is time to respond to your loan offers.

Fall aid first disburses at the end of August, and continues weekly thereafter.

BEFORE AUGUST 15, 2025

Make living arrangements (most apartments around campus have unit move-in on or around the first of the month). Visit the Housing and Residential Life website for more information and housing listings.

Upon arrival, international students should check in at the Office of International Students and Scholar Services, 190 Humphrey Center, and Boynton Health Services, 410 Church Street.

BEFORE SEPTEMBER 2, 2025

Get your U Card (used to access University buildings, the Student SPHere, as your University Library card, to charge books to your Student Account at the University Bookstore and more)

Many students get their U Card the day of orientation, but lines get long.
To receive your first U Card, present an approved primary form of a government-issued photo ID (i.e. Driver’s license, passport) at the U Card office located in Coffman Memorial Union.

If you will be using public transportation to get to and from campus, we recommend purchasing a U-Pass (good for all regular bus lines and light rail)

Must have your U-Card prior to purchasing
Purchased in Coffman Memorial Union, then renewable online each semester
