I have spent a lot of time thinking about how we as musicians play a role in connecting with others. During performance, we have a duty to not only connect with the music that we are playing, but to also connect with our audience members. It is this connection that makes music so beautiful.
In these times, I think that it is more important than ever to foster this connection through music, starting with a piece that I recorded with my close friend and violinist Aidan Krieger. In these times, it is harder than ever to connect with others, but we are incredibly fortunate that we have music and art to enjoy and distract us from our hardships.
When you have time, record a piece that reminds you of someone you know or love and send it to them.
