This is an original song I wrote in response to the "Daily Peace Action" prompt. I found this prompt to be really inspiring which made writing a song in response very natural. The song's lyrics focus on self-love and the struggles that I have gone through during this pandemic. It is my hope that the groove and the ideas embedded in the song stick with people encourage them to pursue self-love and acceptance. I would have loved to perform this with a live band but the pandemic made that too difficult a task, so I recorded the song and played along with it. Thanks for listening!
My daily peace action is to write yourself a love letter, and the instructions to complete this action are embedded in the lyrics of the song. The idea is to encourage others to become comfortable with admiring and loving themselves. It is my hope that this self-love will spread, allow everyone to be more committed to showing love to others, and create a positive tangible change in many peoples' lives.
