It is the University of Michigan's policy, as of 2019, that faculty members, GSIs, and other teachers are prohibited from having sexual, romantic, amorous, and/or dating relationships with any student in a class, lab, online, field, or other setting in which they have academic or supervisory authority over the student. This includes current, former, and future students and/or advisee or employee.
