Discussion of paper "Gender disparities in colloquium speakers at top universities"

The main conclusion of the paper is that fewer women give colloquium talks at the top 50 universities that are linked to a bias in who is invited to give colloquium talks. We had some discussion our own colloquium speaker gender ratio and factors involved in more equitable outcomes from selection committees.
