Trouble-shooting tips and how to receive credit.
If you have technical trouble with online work, troubleshoot (see below) before emailing your instructor.
If you have a technical difficulty, send your instructor the number of the activity and a screenshot of the problem (How to take a screenshot) or 101/102 your email/live chat exchange with McGraw Hill Tech Support.
Common problems:
Weak wifi or internet access: Try another location or use a cord to connect directly to router.
Browser: Check that you are using the recommended browser: Google Chrome or Firefox. For example, Safari and Internet Explorer are usually not supported.
Blackboard: Use your browser to log into uic.blackboard.com with your UIC Net ID and password. **Do not use the Blackboard app: it will not work well.
Google docs: Make sure you are using your UIC gmail, not your personal email. Make sure you have set up Google Workspace @ UIC. Follow this link. It's free, takes 2 minutes.
101 and 102 Connect problems:
First troubleshoot your own computer/internet access. Recommended browser: see the Connect homepage. If you still can't figure out what's wrong, contact your instructor right away with the number of the activity and a screenshot.
