W.H.S.S. offers Life Skills programming in two classes ( Den1.0 and Den2.0) for students with special education needs.
The Special Education Department at Wellington Heights works to support all students. Some of the services we provide include:
Resource room and in-class support
Assistive technology (SEA) and support with using technology
Ongoing IEP development with students and parents
Ongoing communication and transition support
Connecting with Post-Secondary to support student IEPs and Accomodations
Available equipment for student use includes:
Chromebooks available for over-night sign out
Chromebooks available for in-library use and may also be signed out individually by students to take back to class

The WHSS library houses a wide range of print sources, including:
fiction books
graphic novels
non-fiction books
reference books and encyclopedias
a variety of magazines
