Students Trainings in IoT and Cloud Computing at CUST Islamabad

SID Lab successfully conducted two hands-on, industry-aligned technical workshops at Capital University of Science & Technology (CUST), Islamabad. IoT session was led by Dr. Safdar Marwat, Engr. Waseem Khan, and Aimal Khan, this session covered ESP32/Arduino development, sensor integration, wireless dashboards, and smart automation systems. Cloud Computing session was conducted by Hafsa Javed, Fiza Nihar, and Usama Malik, this workshop focused on Google Cloud Platform (Firebase/Firestore), automated GitHub deployments, website hosting, and cloud security.

Bridging the gap between hardware and cloud technologies, these capacity-building sessions equipped participants with vital practical skills. Special thanks to Maaz Khan Yousafzai for providing exceptional media and photography coverage for the event.

GIKI Students Visit SID Lab

SID Lab warmly welcomed Final Year Project (FYP) students from GIKI’s Engineering Sciences and Artificial Intelligence programs. Dr. Safdar Marwat hosted the group, briefing them on the lab's ongoing research before leading an afternoon of deep technical exploration. The visitors toured the facility, engaging with the latest IoT projects, prototypes, and MVPs. Witnessing their bright minds, energy, and genuine curiosity was incredibly inspiring, and the SID Lab wishes them the absolute best as they complete their FYPs and transition into the professional tech landscape.
