Huawei Developers Team visited SID Lab

Huawei Developers Team visited SID Lab, where the team was briefed about the ongoing research projects and incubation plans at the lab. Huawei Team interacted with the lab research staff and students about product commercialization aspects and shared ideas. The team highly appreciated the research and development contributions made by the SID Lab and developed interest in joint training and commercialization to bridge the gap between industry and academia.

SID Lab's Visit of the University of Malakand

SID team visited University of Malakand on 8 June 2022 at the invitation of Dean Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Sultan Alam Kakakhel and HoD Department of Software Engineering, Dr. Khalil Ullah to conduct a workshop on "Internet of Things (IoT): Tools, Technologies and Applications". This workshop also included hands-on training for the faculty and students of UOM.

Scholars of Pak-France PERIDOT research program Visited SID Lab

Pak-France PERIDOT research program scholars from Université de Lorraine, Metz, France, and University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar along with faculty of COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus visited Secured IoT Devices Lab UET Peshawar. Progress of the ongoing joint projects and prospects of upcoming research grants were discussed.

SID Lab's Visit of the University of Malakand

SID team visited University of Malakand on the invitation of Dr. Siffat Ullah Khan, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science. Besides, Prof. Dr. Jamil Ahmad, Dean of Information Technology, and Dr. Khalil Ullah, Head of Department, Software Engineering, faculty and researchers of the University of Malakand were also present on the occasion. Prospects of joint research collaborations and projects in clean and green software development life cycle were discussed.

SID Lab's Meeting with Faculty of Local and Foreign Universities

SID Lab hosted a meeting that was attended by faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Qassim University, Saudi Arabia, and COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus. Collaborative future ventures in research and innovation were discussed in the areas of Intelligent Energy Management Systems.

SID Lab's Visit of the Pak Austria Fachhochschule

At the invitation of Pak Austria Fachhochschule, teams from Secured IoT Devices Lab UET Peshawar and ICS/IT Agricultural University Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan jointly conducted a workshop on "Advanced Cyber Security Protocols for IoT". This workshop also included hands-on training for the students of PAF-IAST.

SID Lab's Visit of the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy, Peshawar

A delegation from SID Lab visited the U.S.-Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Energy UET Peshawar  on the invitation of Director USPCAS-E to look into the matters relating to Cyber security of weather station. The delegation was led by Engr. Waseem Ullah Khan (Research Associate) and comprised of Muhammad Hassaan Chaudhry and Tooba. The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Adnan Daud Khan, Director USPCAS-E UET Peshawar, and briefed by Engr. Atif Sardar and Dr. Noman.

Global Tech and Telecom Leaders Seminar at SID Lab

A productive Seminar of Global Tech and Telecom Leaders was conducted featuring the representatives of Rohde & Schwarz (Germany-based high-tech engineering & telecom company), and officials from Zong - China Mobile Pakistan  and Zhongxing Telecommunication Equipment Corporation (ZTE) Pakistan at SID Lab. In this event, different state-of-the-art systems such as 5G mobile communication systems were displayed, and using high-end expensive equipment, the system functionalities were demonstrated.
