Green Tech - Selected as one of the top 24 startups in Cohort 12 at NIC Peshawar - 9 Oct. 2024
Out of 450 applicants, 60 finalists were shortlisted, and from those, Green Tech earned its place among the top 25 selected startups. The team's idea is based on smart container technology that reduces transportation losses by optimizing logistics through automation. It provides real-time monitoring and data analytics, ensuring efficiency, lowering costs, and minimizing the risk of damage or delays in the process.
3rd Position in 5G Innovation Hackathon at NUST - 9 Mar. 2024
The team of SID secured 3rd position nationally among the 622 participants for the 5G Innovation Hackathon, an initiative of Jazz, Code for Pakistan, National Information Technology Board, Huawei and OPPO held at NUST on 9 Mar. 2024. The team was lead by Umamah Kirmani, and included Amir Habib, Nauman Khan, Ilham Hamid and Saira Zafar. The team was well supported by Waseem Khan, Mahad Shah, Faryal Ishfaq, Aman Islam and everyone at the SID Lab.
Dr. Safdar Nawaz Khan Marwat receives Research Sponsorship from Qatar National Research Fund - 2 July 2022
The Qatar National Research Fund granted a research sponsorship to our Director Dr. Safdar Nawaz Khan Marwat under the National Priority Research Program of Qatar under the project "Development of Human-Centric Robust ML-Driven IoT Smart Services". The project addressed the requirements of extensive evaluation of security and privacy risks of ML-driven IoT devices for smart services before wide adoption and developed pro-social responsible solutions for ML-driven IoT devices.
Engr. Ahmad Khan receives Research Mobility Grant under Pak-France PERIDOT Program - 1 July 2018
The Higher Education Commission awarded a Research Mobility Grant to our Research Associate, Engr. Ahmad Khan to visit the lab of Prof. Dr. Camel Tanougast at the University of Lorraine, France under the Pak-France PERIDOT Program. The collaboration resulted in several international publications, prototype development, and mobility of PhD students from Pakistan to France and vice versa.
