Visit to KP Elementary and Secondary Education Dept.

The Secured IoT Devices Lab (SID Lab), UET Peshawar, was invited at the KP Elementary & Secondary Education Department (ESED), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
It was a privilege to meet Mr. Muhammad Masood (Special Secretary, ESED) and Mr. Syed Zain Ullah Shah (Chief Planning Officer, ESED), and discuss the STEM Education initiative for primary and secondary schools.
The discussion highlighted the integration of Robotics, AI, and hands-on STEM activities into schools, building on SID Lab’s expertise in STEM.
ESED appreciated our past efforts and expressed strong interest in collaboration, marking a promising step towards preparing the next generation with future-ready skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

SID Lab had the privilege of mentoring two amazing undergrad students this summer:

They contributed to projects in IoT, medical diagnostics, smart technologies, and STEM initiatives, leaving behind a mark of hard work and innovation.
Their dedication shows what the next generation of innovators is capable of.
SID Lab is proud to send them off with the confidence that they will continue shaping technology for a better tomorrow.

STEM Summer Camp 2025 - Closing Ceremony
Prof. Dr. M. Sadiq Khattak, Vice Chancellor UET Peshawar, honored the ceremony as Chief Guest, and encouraged the participants to continue exploring, creating, and innovating. His inspiring words motivated the budding engineers to aim high and contribute positively to the world of science and technology.
The ceremony also recognized the dedicated efforts of our instructors: Masood Iqbal Marwat, Muhammad Maaz, Usama Salam, Maira Zafar, and Hafsa Syed, whose guidance, encouragement, and teamwork made the camp a valuable and memorable learning experience.
Under the supervision of Dr. Safdar Marwat (Director, SID Lab) and the leadership of Engr. Waseem Khan (Lead Instructor), the camp became a launchpad for the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

Summer Trip to Nathiagali

Summer 2025 - This summer, the SID Lab team and members took a refreshing break from their busy schedules and set out on an unforgettable trip to Nathiagali. Surrounded by cool breezes, lush green mountains, and breathtaking views, the journey was not just about fun—it was about making memories together.
The team enjoyed every moment, from long walks through pine forests to sharing laughter and stories over meals. It was a perfect blend of relaxation, bonding, and adventure, giving everyone a chance to recharge their minds.
Trips like these remind us that learning and growth are not limited to labs and classrooms—sometimes the best lessons come from shared experiences, teamwork, and enjoying nature together.

Celebrating Excellence: SID Lab Team Secures 18th Position at DPSPC 2025

Congratulations to Ibad Khan, Talha Khan and Muhammad Maaz for their outstanding performance at the Grand Finale of the Digital Pakistan Speed Programming Competition (DPSPC) 2025 by Ignite - National Technology Fund held at GIKI on 17 July 2025.
Securing 18th position out of 1,444 teams from across Pakistan is a remarkable accomplishment, reflecting their dedication, skill, and teamwork.
SID Lab takes great pride in its undergraduate researchers for representing excellence in competitive programming. Well done!
