SID Lab's Workshop on Cyber Security in 2023 at FAST NUCES Peshawar

SID team conducted a workshop on “Cyber Security Protocols for IoT Devices” at FAST NUCES Peshawar Campus. The workshop was designed to educate attendees on the importance of cyber security for IoT devices and the protocols necessary to secure them and was delivered by Engr. Waseem Khan and Mr. Ilham Hamid. The workshop was interactive and engaging, with plenty of opportunities for attendees to ask questions and participate in discussions.

Faisal Imtiaz, Director Security Audit Visited SID Lab

Faisal Imtiaz, Director Security Audit, ECAC, CISO, NTC, and a distinguished graduate of DCSE, visited SID Lab. During the visit, Engr. Waseem Khan provided a comprehensive briefing about the ongoing R&D activities. The aim of the visit was to explore avenues of joint collaboration between industry, government sector, and academia.

Delegation from Qatar Logistics and Construction Industry Visited SID Lab

A delegation from Qatar Logistics and Construction Industry led by Haji Nisar Zada (along with his team) visited SID Lab. During the visit, the delegation was given a briefing about the ongoing R&D activities. The delegation took keen interest in IoT based projects related to Logistics being executed at the lab. It was mutually agreed to keep cooperation in future projects and explore avenues for the commercialization of existing projects.

Musawi Organization Lahore visited SID Lab

The Team from Musawi Organization Lahore visited SID Lab. The esteemed team included Fatima Bukhari (CEO), Abid Nawaz Marwat (Attorney and Program Manager) and Research Associate's. During the visit, the team were briefed about the ongoing research projects. They appraised the efforts and hard work of SID Team and invited the team to lahore for joint training and future collaborations.

SID team conducted a workshop on "Cyber Security for Resource Constrained Devices" at the Department of Computer Science, CECOS University Peshawar. The session was delivered by Engr. Waseem Khan (Research Associate) and Mr. Ilham Hamid (Researcher) and provided valuable insight into the importance of Cyber Security in Resource Constrained IoT devices.

SID team conducted a workshop on "Cyber Security for Resource Constrained Devices" at Sarhad University of Science & Information Technology Peshawar. Faculty and students of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department attended the workshop.

Our team highlighted the challenges and importance of Cyber Security in Resource Constrained Devices and also raised awareness about the lack of digital security laws and protocols in Pakistan.
