Welcome UD SON Clinical Adjunct Faculty!
Below you will find important information to get you onboarded and ready to start teaching. Please review and follow all instructions below. You will receive specific details for your course assignment orientation from the course coordinator a month or so prior to your start date. This page has information pertaining to SON requirements for all new teaching faculty.
Instructions for adjuncts teaching at CCHS that are NOT employees nor have taught there before:

*UD Name Tag must be worn at all times when teaching
Castle Branch Compliance:
As per our Academic Affiliation Agreements with Healthcare Agency Partners and to maintain our Accreditation, we must have information on file for Clinical Teaching Faculty. This includes things such as vaccinations, RN License Etc. Castle Branch is an electronic platform that we use to safely store, track and help monitor your credentials. Another great feature to Castle Branch is that you will be able to share any of your documents with anyone you choose at any time. Please follow the instructions below & be sure to use your UDEL email address when setting up your Castle Branch Account. When you enter your account, a checklist of requirements will populate with further detail.
*Your "personal identification number" will be provided by SON Clinical Coordination Staff via your UDEL email.
Please see the instructions below on how to set up your account with CastleBranch:
Click here to enter Castle Branch
Click the red box that says “Place Order”
It will bring you to a screen that says “Please Select”
From the drop down select “Nursing Faculty”
Select “Invoice” then select “I need to order my compliance tracker only”
On the “Package Review” screen click the box on the bottom that states “I have read order instructions” A green box with arrows will then appear stating “Click Here to Continue”
On the “Please Review” screen click the box on the bottom that states “I have read, understand, and agree to the Terms and Conditions of use” then click on the red “Continue” icon
At this point you will be prompted to enter your “personal identification number” (provided in email)
Follow the remaining steps provided

Please note the below are YOUR responsibility:
*upload all required documentation* monitor when required items are marked due soon, incomplete, past due, and or rejected (Castle Branch will send weekly email reminders for the above mentioned)
ADJUNCT FACULTY MEMBERS MUST REMAIN IN COMPLIANCE WITH ALL CASTLE BRANCH REQUIREMENTS IN ORDER TO TEACH CLINICALS WITH THE SCHOOL OF NURSING
Required Training Courses
Please note you will need your UDEL email to access below courses
Clinical Nursing Teaching Faculty Canvas Orientation
Log in Here to access CANVAS
You will need to log in with your UDelNet ID and Password
On your CANVAS Dashboard page you should see the Course “Clinical Nursing Faculty Teaching Program”
Enter the course and complete Programs 1 and 2
Once completed please email Heather Adams (hadams@udel.edu) a copy of your grades. She will then provide you with your CE Certificate to be uploaded into Castle Branch for compliance.
Blood Borne Pathogen & Safety Right-to-Know Training Courses (due annually)
Log in Here to access BioRaft
You will need to log in with your UDelNet ID and Password
On your BioRaft home page you should see both courses listed under "Training Due"
Enter each course and complete
Once completed please upload your "Certificates of Completion" into Castle Branch for compliance
*please note "Certificates of Completion" must be converted into 1 document when uploading in Castle Branch
