Austin Brunswick

My role in the CEB is the building engineer. My responsibilities are general maintenance, and up-keep of the building which includes things such as HVAC, and electrical work. I am not the only one, there is one other guy in the building who works on maintenance with me. I love my job. 

My days working in the CEB are either very busy or I could be sitting around waiting for a call. Though most of the time there is something going on. A lot of the calls I get are very random. I get calls to handle things from kindergarten to the college floors. The most common problem I encounter are holes in the walls, a lot of these problems branch from kids usually. I have also been seeing a lot of HVAC issues, such as water leaks. As the weather is warming up, the issues are arising. Ceiling tiles are also a big thing. 

My best qualities at work would be my personal skills. I am a creator and a good leader. This helps me with problem-solving, and quick thinking to resolve issues in a timely manner and appropriately. I am good at taking charge and fixing things.  My colleague and I both fit well in this department.

The most memorable experience I have from working here so far would be working on the rooftops. I love going up there and being able to see the city from another point of view. The city definitely looks cool from that view, and very different from when you walk around. I am 15 stories up, so I have a view.

I have two businesses aside from this job. I own a hemp infusing business and I also do government contracts. I love all my jobs in their own way. Owning two businesses and working in the CEB is definitely great money, and has been a great experience. I would say running two businesses and working in the CEB at the same time successfully would be my biggest accomplishment so far.

Outside of work, my lifestyle makes me happy. I like to be outside.  I really enjoy it when it is nice out and I can work out outside while enjoying the weather and walk my dog. I actually just got a new dog, she is a Boston terrier and toy beagle mix. Her name is Chai Latte.
