On thursday, October 13th, at approximately 18:30 hours local peruvian time, we as Los Meros Inges presented our results of the empatize and define stages of the project, which included everything that can be seen in this portfolio, the chat we could have with a dermatologist plus a couple of results and information we could find in different thesis from Universidad Católica de Santa María (UCSM) and Universidad Nacional de San Agustín.
We felt we did a decent job at the presentation, and this was corroborated with the final grade.
More importantly, we received very important feedback that can be very important for future stages of our final project:
The way we presented the data and found the insights was very good.
It can be very helpful if we segment our potential client even more. Young people do not behave the same as people who play football, or those who work in agricultural environments.
At the beginning of the ideate stage, we decided it could be a good idea to compile the findings and insights of our client in an attempt to have different product ideas built around those points. The pains and gains would result specially helpful.
We agreed that whichever product we propose, it must have the following characteristics:
Easy and quick to use, to combat the laziness generated by the big amount of time required to its usage.
Give a satisfactory sensation immediately or almost immediately after using the product, motivating our client to using the product more frequently.
Cost friendly.
Quick and concise use instructions.

We agreed that whichever product we propose, it must have the following characteristics:
A verstaile visor that can be a hat, a visor, windbreaker, amongst others.
A 2 in 1 wet toals package: a wet toal that allows one to clean his or her face, and a second one that is humidified with sunscreen so you can apply it on your face.
A game or fun quick activity that awards sunscreen, with the intention of motivating people to protect their skin against the sun.
Small bottles with a dispenser that sends out the adequate amount of sunscreen for its use. The shape of the bottle could have a 3D figure that motivates the user (for example, a Dota 2 character, seeing how popular such game is here).
A container that switches colors when it is time to reapply sunscreen (between 2 and 3 hours).
What's left to do for next week: evaluate the ideas and choose which one to prototype.
The following activities are what's left within the project so far (in order):
Ideate brainstorming (different techniques learnt this week and to be learnt next week can be helpful)
Evalute all ideas (using techniques such as 6 hats) and pick the best one to prototype.
Evaluate tools and technologies to use for the product and choose the ones that can work the best.
Pick more information from clients and specialists (info such as what's the right dosage of sunscreen).
Doing a cost analysis.
Creating social media for our product, mainly in tiktok and instagram.
Create a first iteration of a Business Model Canvas. Re do every time we finish testing a prototype with the clients.
Design and (hopefully) sketch the chosen product.
Prototype the chosen product
Recieve feedback and modify accordingly.
Repeat the last 3 steps an extra two times.
Build and prepare the final presentation strategy.
Final presentation.
This week we got freedom to use the machines in the laboratory as we like.
We finally got our final product made in the CNC Router delivered to us, as we had issues with the computers when trying to do so on the laboratory.
We also used the opportunity to send designs to the rayjet laser cut machine. Lots of them. We probably exagerated a bit.
Unfortunately, due to the volume of our request, the cuts themselves will be delivered to us next week, around October 28th.
