From the Benet Log file, Benet can retrieve all the events for one Survivor. Or, if the Survivor was not a client of Benet, but event dates were collected in the 2-year retrospective UCSC Survivor study, Benet can start at the Date of Death and day-by-day respond to the passage of time, advancing the Survivor status when the date gets to that status event. The Case History focuses on one Survivor giving a detailed account of communication with the Survivor.
S1 means Survivor, rasc1 is RASC. Total Elapsed Time: 132 days or 4+ months. The form letters are described in RASC Benet Survivor Benefit Tracker System_Redacted.pdf dated 9/5/2020. See the detailed analysis of this case history. Finally you might be interested in seeing what controls RASC Benet, namely Event Settings.
The difference between Campus Benet and RASC Benet is the setting of statusControl = "Survivor" or "Respondent" vs statusControl= "RASC". Since there is only one system, maintenance and improvements is simplified. Each campus using Benet will define the set of campus contacts and signature in Settings; set statusControl = "Survivor" or "Respondent"; set myCampus = campus name, e.g., UCSC; and set sharing rights on the Dashboards in Export folder.
First, the campus will be providing the best Survivor Benefit Process Experience for Survivors and retirees will know their Survivor will have this help. Benet's help starts immediately after death proactively, not just when the Survivor calls for help.
Second, the campus will know the current status of Survivors in process, and will have a complete record of current and past events, so campus officials can better help Survivors that seek help.
Finally, Benet will keep campus officials informed when Benet recognizes a potential delay. Benet eliminates the need for human oversight, yet prevents Survivors being overlooked.
There are advantages for a Campus Benet handling your Survivors--you know them. Your campus officials also learn from Survivor feedback. Benet runs in Google Cloud, and requires no expenses for software, hardware, or storage. Watch the Benet Dashboard in action.
