MPRA Assessment Information
MPRA Audition
The MPRA Academy will be accepting applications for the 2024-2025 Freshmen MPRA Class. Students accepted into the pathway should expect to take courses in music theory, numerous instrumental or choral classes, and technology and music engineering classes during their CATA experience.
Students looking to enter CATA’s MPRA Academy must complete an assessment to see if you meet the following requirements:
The student should play a musical instrument or is a vocalist
The student can read sheet music/tab/or fingering charts
The student must have an interest in recording technology and digital media arts

Categories
Traditional Band Instruments - Clarinet, Trumpet, Flute, Trombone, French Horn, etc.
Non Traditional Band Instruments - Guitar, Bass, Piano, Strings
Vocal
Song Writing or Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) composition.
