Theatre Arts at CATA isn’t just a class — it’s a training ground for the next generation of performers, storytellers, and creators. Our program stands apart by offering a truly immersive, conservatory-style experience inside a public school setting. Students don’t just study theatre — they live it.
From day one, students dive into acting, design, directing, and technical production, exploring a wide spectrum of theatrical styles and disciplines. Whether they dream of being onstage. designing, stage managing, etc., they build the versatility and confidence needed for real-world theatre and beyond.
What makes us different? Every grade level produces a full show each year, giving students authentic, hands-on experience in every part of the process. On top of that, students can audition for our award-winning Spring Musical, compete in award-winning NCTC productions, and join the International Thespian Society — opening doors to festivals, workshops, and state and national recognition.
If you’re looking for a program that challenges you, champions your creativity, and feels like a true theatre home, CATA is where you belong.
