Anyone can attend NRHH general body meetings! Typically, NRHH meets on Tuesdays at 8:00pm in the West Campus Resource Library (WCRL, and is located in the basement of Houts/Hosey). The requirement to be a member of NRHH is to have lived on campus (in the residence halls or the campus apartments) for at least one (1) semester. NRHH will solicit nominations for membership in NRHH, both in the fall and in the spring, and then whomever gets nominated would apply, and be selected by the selections committee. After approval from the selections committee, the candidate then will get inducted to become a full voting member of NRHH! NRHH has a membership cap of thirty-three (33) members.
NRHH actively engages in recognition and service throughout the university and throughout the local Warrensburg community. If you're interested in applying or being involved, please contact ucmnrhh@ucmo.edu.
Of the Months (OTMs) are an national recognized NRHH program, through NACURH. This is a perfect way to recognize a friend, roommate, professor, custodial staff, community advisor, office assistant, teaching assistant, residence hall director, or assistant residence hall manager. Nominations are between 300-600 words, and can win at the campus, regional, and/or national levels. These nominations should only cover what an individual has done in the specific month of nomination - the more details and stories, the better. A funny question we always like to ask is, "Where is the beef of the OTM?" NRHH solicits Of the Month (OTM) nominations on a monthly basis (i.e. September's OTMs are due October 5th at 11:59pm). There are seventeen (17) national recognized categories, which includes the following: Advisor, Diversity Program, Community Service Program, Educational Program, Executive Board Member, First-Year Student, Graduate Assistant, Institution Faculty/Staff Member, Organization, Passive Program, Residential Community, Residence Life Professional Staff Member, Resident Assistant, Student Staff Member, Social Program, Spotlight, and Student.
To submit a(n) nomination(s), please visit https://otms.nrhh.org/. UCM has authored twenty-six (26) NACURH-winning OTMs, seventy-three (73) regional-winning OTMs, and 601 campus-winning OTMs since 1999. UCM has submitted 2,087 OTMs since 1999.
