In the far future of Underworld.exe, Azure delves deep into the digital world in order to free their significant other from the clutches of Hades Inc. Azure must make use of their trusty base guitar and disable various programs and defenses with the power of music. Move and attack to the beat in order to bypass the corporation's digital defenses. Each action you take adds to the song, allowing the player to create their own music. Our finished contains a tutorial and a boss fight and is a proof of concept of what this project could become.
Programmer:
I helped program the beat tracking system that allows the players and enemies to act on beat with the music using Wwise callbacks.
I programmed the four phases of the first boss fight, including all of its attacks and that of its minions.
I engineered the various UI elements found throughout the game, including the menus and health bars.
Designer:
I came up with the main concept behind the game, including the core pillars and design philosophies.
I designed the main mechanics of the game, such as what actions the players can take on the beat and off the beat.
I helped create and implement the different attacks the boss has in order to push the player into taking different actions for more engaging gameplay.
