Our media team provides a range of services to support faculty and staff in creating high-quality educational media. We focus on producing resources that enhance teaching, learning, and digital engagement across the Faculty of Education.
To request support, please email tedmedia@ualberta.ca at least two weeks in advance. All services are subject to availability, and requests are confirmed within four business days.
Projects requiring technician assistance outside regular hours may incur additional costs and cannot always be accommodated.
Please note: services are available only to faculty and staff, not students.
All projects include two rounds of revisions; additional change requests are billable. Standard delivery time is a minimum of four business days.
Our full-service option provides complete support from planning through delivery. This typically includes A/V setup, filming, post-production editing, and delivery or streaming of the final media.
Priority is given to projects that:
Develop digital learning materials used repeatedly in courses.
Serve clear educational reuse within the Faculty of Education.
Projects outside these categories are considered fee-for-service.
Lecture capture for a class.
Live streaming of a course for remote students.
Recording training or instructional videos for classroom use.
Recording events or media not intended for classroom use.
Filming non-academic or special events.
Requests from non-Faculty of Education clients.
After-hours filming requiring technicians.
