AI is an "oncoming crashing wave" already impacting education, research, and daily administration. This session moves beyond the debate of AI as a "cheating tool" to explore its role as an opportunity for educators and students. We discuss practical applications—such as creating digestible study guides and simplifying complex jargon—while addressing critical concerns regarding misinformation, environmental impact, and the erosion of key critical thinking skills.

Google Storage Reduction - Options and Best Practices
In early 2021, Google introduced a new license and storage model which no longer provides free, unlimited storage for higher education institutions. As a result, on January 31, 2025, IST implemented storage quotas on all individual Google Workspace accounts, which includes data stored in MyDrive, Gmail and Google Photos. The video below explains some of the options and best practices when it comes to Google Storage Reduction and management.
