The Undergraduate Student Services Office has a variety of different methods in which you can speak to an advisor or advising assistant. If you're unsure the best way to speak with us, feel free to either send us a ticket through the Student Service Portal or visit us in person at ECHA 3-141 during business hours, and we'd be happy to help!
Many Student Service Offices on campus (including the Faculty of Nursing) have moved away from the designated Gmail email addresses and instead, the Student Service Portal is the main communication tool. The portal provides seamless and intuitive resources to students, allowing they to easily access and navigate the information and services they need. The Student Service Portal allows students to submit an inquiry or search for commonly asked questions. Inquiries are then automatically routed to the appropriate student service unit for resolution.

The Student Service Centre has put together a Student Service Portal Quick Reference Guide to demonstrate how to use the portal. If you are stuck, review the document for information on logging in, submitting a ticket, checking on existing tickets, and more.
The Nursing Undergraduate Student Services Office has a queueing system which allows for students to connect with an Academic Advisor or Advising Assistant! There are two ways you can use this system to speak with an Advisor:
Walk-In Advising (no appointment needed):
If you have a quick question or concern, come up to the Undergraduate Student Services Office on the 3rd floor of ECHA 3-141 to talk with a member of the team in person only. Someone at the Student Services Desk will be able to assist you, however depending on the nature of your concern it may not be resolved in your walk-in session. If you're not sure if you need to book an appointment or not, come by the desk first and we can help you!
Walk-in advising is available:
Mondays: 8:30am to 12:00pm, 1:00pm to 4:30pm
Tuesdays: 8:30am to 12:00pm, 1:00pm to 4:30pm
Wednesdays: 8:30am to 11:00am, 1:00pm to 4:30pm
Thursdays: 8:30am to 12:00pm, 1:00pm to 4:30pm
Fridays: 8:30am to 12:00pm, 1:00pm to 4:30pm
The hours listed reflect when the office is open; however, advisor availability may vary throughout the day. If you arrive first thing in the morning, before lunch, or near closing, please be aware you may experience a wait.
Individual Advising Appointments:
One-on-one student advising appointments are available in person, online, or by phone. You can choose the method that is most convenient for you to discuss your questions or concerns with an advisor. Appointments are 20 minutes in length, and multiple appointments may be required to resolve your concern. Please refrain from booking multiple appointments at once as this inhibits other students' abilities to meet with an advisor.
Appointments are available:
Tuesdays: 2:30pm to 4:00pm; in person, online, or by phone.
Wednesdays: 2:30pm to 4:00pm; in person, online, or by phone.
Thursdays: 9:30am to 11:00am; in person, online, or by phone.
If the times above do not work for you, please reach out and we can determine an alternative plan! Note that students who no-show three appointments will be unable to book appointments until they have contacted the Undergraduate Office.
