Sexuality and Gender Advocacy (SGA) Committee
The Sexuality & Gender Advocacy Committee (SGA) is a student run initiative at the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine. The mission of the SGA is to address sexual and gender minority health disparities, through collaboration, education of health professionals, and by advocating for sustainable social change. Our initiatives include undergraduate medical education program development, supporting LGBTQ+ healthcare students, and hosting the annual Inclusive Health Conference in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The Inclusive Health Conference is an annual event focused on bringing together leading experts on 2SLGBTQ+ issues in healthcare and medical education to address sexual and gender minority health disparities.
