Medical Genetics Interest Group (MGIG)

The MGIG (Medical Genetics Interest Group) aims to provide medical students exposure to Medical Genetics and share relevant opportunities for students to gain first-hand experiences with the specialty. Ranging from cancer genetics to developmental genetics to gene discovery and personalized medicine, the MGIG hopes to help students gain an appreciation for the breadth of medical genetics.

Future events and resources may include an Introduction to Medical Genetics, career panels with geneticists and residents, how to get involved in genetics research and shadowing opportunities. We also hope to help you explore fellowships in genetics if you already have another specialty in mind.

Please join us in learning more about Medical Genetics and how you can get involved. There’s a Medical Genetics topic for everyone!
