Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG)

“The Internal Medicine Interest Group (IMIG) aims to help students learn more about internal medicine as a specialty and consider it as a possible career. We hold regular events throughout the year, including lunch talks and practical skills training workshops. With the support of the internal medicine faculty, we coordinate shadowing opportunities and help establish a network for pre-clerkship students to interact with residents and staff. We also maintain an affiliation with the American College of Physicians (ACP) and advocate for student membership to help students utilize some of the excellent resources the ACP provides. Ultimately, the IMIG hopes to promote a better understanding of internal medicine and instill curiosity in students to seek further opportunities in general and specialized internal medicine.”
