ROCA refers to the Regional On Call Application System
ROCA takes out the middle person (switchboard) and allows doctors and staff to communicate in a more direct manner.
Where can you find your ROCA schedule? Visit Insite at https://insite.albertahealthservices.ca/tools/Page6492.aspx
In the top right tab select On Call/ROCA
Once ROCA is open select:
1. Zone: Edmonton Zone
2. Time: Now, next 7 days etc. (no colour assigned)
3. Service - Site: All
3. Service - Role: No Roles
3. Service - Area: Lab Medicine
3. Service - Service: Follow the prompts. The On-Call Resident, Microbiologist and Virologist can be located in:
Microbiology – ProvLab – Microbiologist-on-call (MOC)
Microbiology – ProvLab – Virologist-on-call (VOC)
Microbiology DynaLIFE Microbiologist-on-call (MOC)
Select the "View" button next to the applicable selection.
If unable to access ROCA please contact Switchboard at 780-407-8822 for On Call information.
If you do not have access to ROCA on InSite, please contact Cassandra at Cassandra.Feader@albertaprecisionlabs.ca or 780-407-7248 so that an alternative means of receiving the On Call information can be arranged.
Short notice changes (evening, weekend, Stats) can be made by contacting Switchboard at switchboardUAH@ahs.ca

AHS On Call Timesheets are managed by the Chief Resident and verified by the MEPC before being submitted. Be sure to copy the MEPC, Cassandra and the Chief Resident on any short notice changes to ensure stipend timesheets are adjusted. Thank you!
