ONE45 (MedEval)
The UofA Post Graduate Medical Education Office uses One45, an electronic data management system, for resident assessments. One45 manages the data required to meet accreditation and quality standards for Postgraduate and Undergraduate medical education. All data is stored electronically and is easily accessible by residents and assessors.
Faculty Block Evaluations
When scheduled in the microbiology lab, microbiology residents are provided feedback at the end of each four week block by a designated block evaluator (see UAH Prov Lab block evaluator schedule below). In microbiology, residents meet with their assigned block evaluator and review their assessments at the end of each block.
Evaluation meetings in clinical rotations are set up on a case by case basis (each clinical site is unique). Residents are responsible for coordinating their outgoing block evaluation meeting with their assigned preceptor.
Technologist Evaluations (paper based)
Medical Laboratory Technologists at the UAH/Prov Lab work directly with residents and provide feedback to the block evaluator using the Bench Tech Assessment form (printed on blue paper - see sample below).
On Call - Integrated Learning Assessments (ILA)
R2-R5 residents participate in On Call duties while scheduled in microbiology and are assessed after each scheduled block of call using the One45 MM Integrated Learning Assessment (ILA) form.
