AHS COVID-19 Return to Work Guide for Healthcare Workers
If you feel sick: stay home and complete the AHS online self-assessment.
If you have tested positive for COVID-19 or are legally required to isolate AND have been on campus in the last 14 days: contact your supervisor, instructor or activity coordinator as soon as possible. See sick procedures.
If you have been identified as a close contact: immediately self-isolate and follow all AHS directions for close contacts.
Please notify Dr. Zelyas and Julie Van Hill if you are absent due to illness or COVID-19 exposure requiring isolation. Please contact 811. If you cannot get through to 811 please call Workplace Health and Safety at OHSWNurseOnCall@albertahealthservices.ca (1-855-450-3619, ext 2). PDs/PAs are required to keep the PGME office informed of absences. The PGME office requires a signed PGME leave form for medical leaves lasting five days or longer. The form is on the PGME and med micro website (under forms). Where applicable, please fill in and sign the form, scan it, and email it to Dr. Zelyas and Julie.

AHS Update 3Dec2020
A case list with patient details can be requested from Kimberley.Chong@ahs.ca (sent to resident AHS emails).
For Healthcare Worker (HCW) cases, some HCWs names can be disclosed to close contacts only. Residents can contact WHS/OH&S if they are potentially exposed and the name will be released at that time.
