In 1977, Oseredok hosted Maydanyk’s one-and-only solo art show. The exhibit was a retrospective of borrowed pieces he had drawn and painted over 50 years. The newly appointed Director, Dr. Robert Klymasz, opened the show. The Winnipeg Free Press wrote a glowing review of the event (see below). The few pieces that were for sale all sold, and when the show was over, Maydanyk donated his remaining private collection to Oseredok. The one exception is the original oil on canvas portrait of Bishop Nykyta Budka, which now hangs in the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy in Winnipeg.
