PART ONE: Make your initial submission:
Email your Capstone Project as a .doc or .docx file to cil@ualberta.ca.
If you completed a non-traditional capstone project (i.e. video or slide show), then the accompanying explanation must be a .doc or .docx file.
Include the following in your Capstone:
Cover page with the title “Capstone Project”, your first name and surname, student ID and word count centered in the middle of the page. You are welcome but not required to personalize the “Capstone Project” title by adding your own subtitle; and
Page numbers.
Name the subject of your email as “Capstone submission”.
Include a message in the body of your email indicating when you expect to convocate.
You will receive an email with a corresponding link that your Capstone has been shared with you and the CIL Academic Director as a Google doc.
The Academic Director may ask you to revise your capstone project and resubmit by a specific deadline. Please note that not submitting the required revisions may jeopardize the approval of your capstone project. Once all revisions have been made, you will receive notification that your Capstone has been approved.
PART TWO: Do this only when your Capstone Project has been approved:
Log into the CIL portal.
Click on Capstone Project.
Click “Create Claim”.
Click "Choose Files" to search for the approved version of your capstone project (saved as a .pdf and file size no larger than 20 mB)
Click the file you want to attach and click "Open".
Notify us that you have uploaded the approved version of your capstone project by leaving a brief message in the Project Description box.
Click “Submit”.
