Since December 2016, ChEHC has been a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre in Children's Environmental Health! WHO Collaborating Centres are research institutes, parts of universities or academies, which the WHO designates to carry out activities supporting the Organization's programmes. There are over 800 worldwide in a wide range of areas. ChEHC is one of 10 centres supporting Children's Environmental Health (CEH). Due to our history, we have been invited to participate in activities which support the WHO Children's Environmental Health Program, which works to reduce environmental risks to children.
Our focus is to assist WHO in advancing Children’s Environmental Health through several avenues, primarily education. To learn more about the CEH Collaborating Centres, click here.

CEH Training modules - these are peer-reviewed PowerPoint presentations that allow healthcare workers to be trained, and to become trainers of their peers and colleagues on a wide range of CEH topics. The modules include extensive references and case studies. Our team regularly reviews and updates these modules. View the training modules here.
Literature reviews - our team participates in the review of scientific evidence on topics important to CEH as requested.
Reports - WHO asks for expertise from our team members in addition to those from other collaborating centres to help generate reports on CEH issues on behalf of the WHO.
HECANET (Healthy Environments for Children Alliance) Newsletter - This is a global newsletter prepared bi-monthly by our team on behalf of WHO. It summarizes the latest literature on CEH, identifies new policies and research tools, and shares relevant meetings and seminars. See the latest issue here.
